Phone Arena has reported
that AT&T has started rolling out LTE Micro-SIM cards with support
to the latest networks offering faster data speeds to its retailers
replacing the exiting Micro-SIM stock which will be scrapped. Such a
move make us think that is connected to the imminent release of the
third generation iPad 3.
However, Phone Arena thinks that this is related to the next iPhone “iPhone 5”. However, the next iPad which is rumored to have LTE capabilities is the obvious explanation if this move is related to an Apple device.
Shortly after the Phone Arena report was posted AT&T spokesman Seth Bloom noted that “the Pantech Breeze and Element already utilize the LTE micro-SIM card on the carrier’s network.”
So, Do you really think that the rolling out of the LTE Micro SIM cards means that the iPad 3 will have LTE capabilities?
