iPhone 5 Will Have A Wireless Mobile Payment System

Back in the time when we were waiting for the iPhone 4S as it turned out to be. There was a rumor that it would have a wireless mobile payment system. Well, The rumor is back but it seems rather true this time.

iPhone 5 Will Support NFC [Near Field Communications]

This time the rumor broke out after Ed McLaughlin, MasterCard’s mobile payments boss said:
I don’t know of a handset manufacturer that isn’t in process of making sure their stuff is PayPass ready.

And when asked if this includes Apple, He responded:

Um, there are…like I say, [I don't know of] any handset maker out there…Now, when we have discussions with our partners, and they ask us not to disclose them, we don’t.
However, The fact that Apple is really working on NFC capabilities doesn’t mean that it will actually come to pass. As Smartphone users adopts mobile payment systems slowly. For example: Google Wallet which uses a NFC chip transfer payment data to credit card readers. (That’s what McLaughlin means when he says “PayPass ready”.)

9to5Mac Confirms The Rumor

At Macworld, 9to5Mac talked with a well-connected developer who is building a NFC app for the iPhone. They asked him why he would be developing such an app given the limited NFC support for the device? He said that “he had no hardware knowledge, but he had spoken to Apple iOS engineers on multiple occasions, and they are “heavy into NFC.”
And when he was asked how confident he was he responded:
“Enough to bet the app development on.”
So, Do you think that the iPhone 5 will really have a NFC capabilities
