Recently, Apple has released
an new build of iOS 5.0.1 that has open file system which enables to
get Siri files without piracy. Another thing that has been discovered
about this new build is that it contains a fix to the “No SIM Card”
issue in the iPhone 4S.
- “Invalid SIM” or “No SIM Card installed” alert appears intermittently.
- Status bar displays “No Service” or “Searching” in a location with good network coverage

Apple has issued a new support document saying that the new build is designed to fix an issue with SIM card-related errors that some iPhone 4S users has been complaining about. And as this issue is not affecting a small number of users, Apple has decided not to release the new build as iOS 5.0.2 software update.Here is a part from the Apple’s new support document:
In certain situations, iPhone 4S may have difficulty recognizing a micro-SIM card, resulting in the following behaviors:- “Invalid SIM” or “No SIM Card installed” alert appears intermittently.

And here is Apple recommendations to solve the problem:
1. Back up your user content and settings using iTunes or iCloud. See this article for more information.2. Restore your iPhone 4S using iTunes.
