Next-gen iPad may offer double the battery capacity of iPad 2

Apple will going to lauch a new high-end iPad model in early 2012 which offers a battery which includes twice the capacity of the current iPad. You will be able to maximize the time of what ever you want to do with a little break of that horrible moment telling you “” Battery Empty “” !!

Sources from within Apple’s supply chain, DigiTimes recently reported anonymously that Apple’s upcoming next-generation flagship iPad will feature, a new 14,000 mAh battery instead of the 6,500 mAh battery currently used in Apple’s iPad, which means that the new power pack will feature more than twice the capacity of battery currently used in Apple’s iPad and also the new iPad will features a new mid-range iPad model.

DigiTimes also reported late Wednesday that Apple’s 2012 iPad lineup will include three models: a low-end iPad 2, likely available at a discount compared to current pricing, a mid-range next-generation iPad and a high-end model. The new mid-range and high-end models will also reportedly feature an upgraded 2,048 x 1,536-pixel displays with dual-LED back-lighting.
Meanwhile, the penetration rate of lithium-polymer batteries such as those used in iPad 2 is expected to reach 15% in 2012 compared to 5% in 2011, the sources estimated.
Global production of lithium-polymer battery cells will top 400 million units in 2011, and the prices of the cells are expected to remain higher in 2012 after being hiked by 20% in the second quarter of 2011, the sources indicated.
